RESOLUTION
To

Increase the Wage of the Presiding Officer Staff​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress, do hereby formally enact this non-binding resolution, as a request to our Government:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the “Congressional Staff Wage Increase Resolution”
(2) This Resolution was authored by Rep. Mhadsher101
(3) This Resolution was co-sponsored by Rep. RelaxedGV

2 - Reasons:
(1) The Congressional Staff, also known as the Presiding Officer Staff, are being paid too little for the work that is expected of them.
(2) Duties such as keeping the Constitution updated are large tasks with wide-ranging effects, and the pay should match.

3 - Terms:
(1) The Commonwealth Reserve Bank has sole powers to adjust government wages. This resolution is an official request to the Reserve to adjust the government wages as so:
(2) Draftsman wage is increased by $5/15 minutes.
(3) Clerk wage is increased by $5/15 minutes.
(4) Press Assistant wage is increased by $5/15 minutes.

Some of these jobs are very hard and especially with the expanded roles of Press Assistant in the new Senate Standing Orders they 100% deserve a wage increase - aye
