TO

Lower the Congress Members’ Wages​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:​

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the "Congress Members’ Wage Decrease Resolution 2023" or "CWD Resolution 2023"
(2) This act is authored by: Representative 1950minecrafter
(3) This act is cosponsored by: Representative RoryyyMC

2 - Reasons
The Congress members currently have the highest wage of all the government jobs at the moment. Some of that money could be invested in a cheaper education and healthcare systems instead of the balance of the Congress members. That’s why this bill is meant to lower the following wages.​

3 - Terms
a) Asking the CRB to change Congress wages as follows:
  1. The Representatives Wages shall be lowered from $35/15min to $25/15min.
  2. The Senators Wages shall be lowered from $35/15min to $25/15min.
  3. The Speaker Wage shall be lowered from $45/15min to $35/15 min.
  4. The President of the Senate Wage shall be lowered from $45/15min to $35/15min

Nay - it completely messes with the structure of our wages. These roles fit into wage brackets in accordance with the wages act based on the workload and responsibility that they fill. for the 50th time, I'll be voting nay on this proposal.
