To
Amend the Criminal Code Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Combat the Murder Act'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored and proposed by Deputy Speaker RealImza.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative Scassany.

2 - Reasons
(1) Murder has become very prevalent within the Commonwealth of Redmont.
(2) A temporary solution would be to raise the punishments for Murder and Mass Murder.
(3) Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Rory requested this change.
(3) This bill aims to do that by amending the Criminal Code Act.

3 - Amendments
(1) Part IV, Section 3 of the Criminal Code Act shall be amended as follows:

Offence Type: Summary
Penalty: 1.5 2.5 Penalty Units; 10 min imprisonment
A person commits an offence if the person:
(a) unlawfully kills another player.

(2) Part IV, Section 4 of the Criminal Code Act shall be amended as follows:
"
4 - Mass Murder
Offence Type: Summary
Penalty: 2 3 Penalty Units per murder; 10 minutes imprisonment per murder.
A person commits an offence if the person:
(a) unlawfully kills seven or more players before being apprehended.
