A
BILL
To

Amend the Cheating Act

The People of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the Constitution, do hereby enact the following into law:

1 – Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as “Accidental Cheating Act.”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This bill is authored by Representative Neemfy.
(4) This bill has been cosponsored by Representative tair0.

2 – Reasons
(1) This law disproportionately affects the newest of new players. One of the first actions new players take is doing an exam to get a job. While ignorance of the law is not an excuse, it is unreasonable to expect new players to immediately read the long list of Rules and Laws immediately upon joining.
(2) Helpful players might accidentally give an exam answer when answering a vague question put in global. Most players likely do not have all the exam questions and answers memorized, and those simply wanting to help will end up incurring a fine.
(3) A Verbal Warning before any fines will give plenty of chance to not do it again.

3 – Terms
(1) In the Cheating Act,
Change:
(1) Giving / Asking for Exam Answers is the act of Asking an exam question or giving an exam answer is not allowed.
To:
(1) Giving / Asking for Exam Answers is the act of Asking for an exam answer, or deliberately giving or attempting to give an exam answer with intent to cheat, and is not allowed.

and

Change:
(2) Per Offence there is $20 Fine
To:
(2) First Offense: Verbal Warning.
Second and Subsequent Offense: $20 fine.

(2) This Bill will override, and therefore rescind the Unfair Exam Act.
