<Amend the Oakridge Business Grants >

The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the by-laws:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ' Business Grant Reform Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Wander1ng_Trader
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Dino_Girl19

2 - Reasons
  1. In order to foster more economic growth and invite more economic activity its important that Oakridge update and expand its grant system to fit the ever-changing business environment.
  2. Oakridge has seen a large increase in its treasury its important that we reinvest this back into the community.
3 - Oakridge Business Grants
Business Grants

Business Start-Up Grant - max. $15,000 20,000
This grant is intended for new businesses in need funds to purchase tools, rent, property, etc., to jumpstart production, sales, or services.

Business Expansion Grant - max. $12,500 17,500
This grant is intended for established businesses to purchase property, renovations or anything else needed to facilitate the expansion of their business into Oakridge. The applicant must not own commercial property in Oakridge.

Business Property Grant - max. $10,000 12,500
This grant is intended for businesses both new and established to purchase commercial property in Oakridge. The applicant must not own commercial property in Oakridge.

Crisis Recovery Grant - max. $7,500 15,000
This grant is intended for businesses recovering from unexpected crises or economic downturns, in need of funds to regain stability.

Sectoral Grant - max. $10,000
This grant is intended to fund start-ups, advancements, and innovation within specific industries. The applicant must own a business in one of the following industries:
(1) Lumber;
(2) Newspaper/media;
(3) Food service;
(4) Arts;
(5) Arms;
(6) Automotive;
(7) Manufacturing;
(8) Tourism.

Activity Grants

Active Business Bonus Grant - max. $4,000 5,000 every 4 weeks
This grant is intended to encourage businesses to stay active within the town. The applicant must own a business, and must keep that business stocked, active, and operational. Must be renewed once a month if the applicant continues to desire the grant money.
