CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A BILL TO
CHANGE ILLICIT SUBSTANCES PENALTIES
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1. Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Better Buffs Act’
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Speaker _GreyMC.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative lovepurplepoodle.
(5) This Act amends the following acts:
(a) Criminal Code Act
2. Reasons and Intent
(1) All punishments for illicit substance possession feels like a slap on the wrist. If someone possesses 10 stacks of a buff, and they get caught, they get charged the same as someone with one stack.
(2) Further, punishments go on the total amount of buffs, ignoring the categories. So if someone possesses 63 Class 1s and 1 Weaponized, they get charged 50 Penalty Units for possession of more than 64 illicit substances on weaponized buffs, as the reading currently says combined categories.
PART II - AMENDMENTS

A person commits an offence if the person:

(a) possesses less than 64 items of a specific category of illicit substances.
(i) A separate charge shall be issued for each category of illicit substance that meets this limit.
