CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT





A BILL TO

RENAME THE REDMONT BAR ASSOCIATION (RBA) TO THE BAR ASSOCIATION OF REDMONT (BAR)



The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:


PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment


(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘BAR Act’

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by Representative juniperfig.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Deputy Speaker of the House MJL_.

(5) This Act amends the following acts:

(a) I don't know. Wherever the "Redmont Bar Association" is referred to by "RBA" or "Redmont Bar Association".

2. Reasons and Intent

(1) "RBA"? Are we serious? "BAR" was right there.

PART II — BAR ASSOCIATION OF REDMONT

3. Renaming the RBA (Redmont Bar Association) to the BAR (Bar Association of Redmont)


(1) The Redmont Bar Association, or RBA, shall be renamed to the Bar Association of Redmont, or BAR.

(2) The Office of Congressional Affairs will consider the misspelling of "BAR" as "RBA" to be a minor typo, and edit all of the mentions of "RBA" to be "BAR" instead.

(3) The Office of Congressional Affairs will consider the misspelling of "Bar Association of Redmont" as "Redmont Bar Association" to be a minor typo, and edit all of the mentions of "Redmont Bar Association" to be "Bar Association of Redmont" instead.
 

Presidential Assent


This is, bar none, the most important reform to the Redmont Bar Association since the passing of the RBA Council Membership Act. It addresses the comment for improvement I left in my signing statement for that bill and does so with great vigor.

Thank you, to Rep. Juniperfig and the whole Congress, for adequately and swiftly addressing this matter. I know this was a campaign point for Rep. Juniperfig, and I thank her for keeping this promise to constituents.

This bill is hereby granted assent and is signed into law.
