To
Punish Attempted Crime
The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Attempted Crime Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act was authored by Representative Yeet_Boy.
(4) This Act is co-sponsored by Representative Mr_SeaGuy.
2 - Reasons
(1) Players who do not commit crimes, but attempt to commit them, are commonly charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime or the actual crime itself, and there is no in-between.
3 - Attempted Crime
(1) A new law will be added named ‘Attempted Crime’.
(2) To commit attempted crime, you must knowingly attempt to commit a crime without fully carrying out the crime.
(3) Per offense: No more than 75% of the listed fines for the crime attempted.
(4) A player found to be guilty of attempted crime in a civil lawsuit is not required to pay fines for emotional damages or other damages that would have been caused to the victim of the attempted crime.
