CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT

A BILL TO

Provide for an Administrative Window for Applying Punishments within the Firearms Licensing Act

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1. Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Administrative Leniency Act’

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by DHS Secretary Goldendude15 and Speaker Kaiserin_

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. Angryhamdog.

(5) This Act amends the following acts:

(a) Firearms Licensing Act

2. Reasons and Intent

(1) It is difficult for the DHS to issue punishments with regard to license strikes immediately, as they require a manual command to be entered, and automation is currently not possible plugin-wise. This bill aims to provide a short administrative window for the DHS in issuing these punishments, so as not to open it up to potential liability.

(2) The DHS Secretary has requested this change.

PART II — PROVISIONS

3. Amendments

(1) The following shall be appended to § 5 of the Firearms Licensing Act:

“(3) Where this Act requires the DHS to modify a firearms license status as a result of a strike or expiration of a strike-related period per 2(a), there shall be a 24 hour administrative window from the relevant event requiring the status change to execute it. Execution within that period shall constitute full compliance with this Act.”
