Amend the Constitution of Aventura

BE IT ENACTED by the Mayor and Council of Aventura:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Administration Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signing.
(3) This Act has been authored and sponsored by Mayor AnimeInc

2 - Reasons
(1) The Office of Commerce is unnecessary.
(2) The bill removes the Office of Commerce and replaces it with the Office of Administration

3 - Amendment
(1) Article I, Section IV of the Constitution of Aventura shall be amended as follows:
"
4. Office of Commerce
The Office of Commerce is responsible for ensuring the town has a strong economy, from ensuring a stable treasury to drawing businesses and new players into the town through incentives and outreach. The following responsibilities are allocated to this office:

• Maintaining treasury records for the town;
• Monitoring plot prices and sales;
• Attracting and supporting businesses running in the town;
• Advising the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Town Council on economic matters.

4. Office of Administration
The Office of Administration is responsible for recordkeeping, from ensuring the accuracy of treasury records to holding monthly approval ratings for the town. The head of this office shall be the Chief of Staff. The following responsibilities are allocated to this office:

• Maintaining treasury records for the town;
• Maintaining the resident list for the town;
• Supporting the Mayor of Aventura in administrative duties;
• Handling the monthly approval ratings for town officials;
• Advising the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Town Council on administrative matters.

(2) Article I, Section V of the Constitution of Aventura shall be amended as follows:
"
Section V - Advisors:
(1) The Mayor may appoint up to five (5) Advisors to assist with the administration and leadership of the Town of Aventura.

(2) The Mayor may appoint a Chief of Staff to assist in organising and leading the Executive of the Town of Aventura.

(2) The Mayor may dismiss an Advisor or the Chief of Staff at any time, subject to federal employee protection laws.

4- Transition
(1) All channels dedicated to the Office of Commerce shall be archived.
(2) A special election shall be held to fill the role of the Chief of Staff.
(3) The Office of Commerce shall formally be dissolved.
(a) All mentions of it in all laws shall refer to the Office of Administration.
