Fix abstentions and amend the Legislative Standards Act

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Abstention Fix Act.'

(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

(3) This Act has been authored by End.

(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Talion

2 - Reasons

(1) Fixes this hot mess

3 - Amendments

The LSA is amended:

13 - Voting

(1) If or when there is a motion against or relating specifically to a member of Congress, that member of Congress shall not be allowed to vote on that motion.

(2) An abstention vote may be a:

(a) Voting Abstention. S
ubmitted during voting if the member does not wish to vote for or against a matter before Congress. Counted toward quorum as present and deliberate neutrality.

(b) Non-Voting Abstention. A failure to vote and not recorded as an abstention in vote tallying, nor counted toward quorum.

Voting nay, noting that I don't think the vote in the house was clean and I don't think that we should be rewarding the payment of bribes.
 
I fully agree with this bill, and I would love to vote aye. However the bill would have quorum failed if it wasn’t for the alleged bribe that took place.

Joke or no joke. The integrity in voting for bills is of utmost concern. I suggest the author to repropose.
 
I concur with my fellow Senate colleagues.
