Give the role of Sheriff a reason for existing

The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the by-laws:​

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ' Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Deputy Mayor zLost
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Sheriff Mask3d_Wolf

2 - Reasons
(1) The Sheriff currently has barely any importance in the town council.
(2) This Act aims to give them a job to do.

3 - Sheriff's Job
(1) Any piece of legislation which concerns criminal law requires the Sheriff's approval before being put to vote.
(2) If the Sheriff doesn't approve a piece of legislation, it can be approved through a motion proposed by the Mayor which requires a simple majority of the Town Council agreeing.
(3) Any piece of legislation which deals with the punishment of a criminal offense shall be considered criminal law.
