so basically this guy wanted to buy a elytra for 2.3k so i was selling him mine then he came over and we met at zoo then since it was damaged i couldnt use a chesthop s it was a handoff i made him say if he dosnt pay i can sue

II. FACTS

1. On 30 August 2026, Defendant announced in general chat that they wanted to buy an Elytra for "2.5k" or "under 3k" (P-003)
2. Plaintiff offered an Elytra in direct messages: "il give u mine for 2.3k", Defendant haggled the price down: "can u do 2.2 plesae" (P-003)
3. Defendant had $2595.42 in their personal balance at this time (P-003)
4. The parties met at the /zoo (P-003, P-004)
5. Defendant agreed that if Defendant does not pay, Plaintiff is allowed to sue (P-001, P-003)
6. Plaintiff repeats the price as "2.2k as we promised" (P-002, P-003)
7. Plaintiff drops the Elytra and Defendant picks it up (P-004)
8. Defendant pays Plaintiff $230 (P-002, P-003)
9. Plaintiff asks for the remainder and Defendant tells them to come to spawn (P-003)
10. Plaintiff demands the remainder, announcing to Defendant that Plaintiff has screenshots of the conversation and the promise made in fact 5 (P-003)
11. No further payment is made
12. Almost thirty minutes later Defendant's balance has dropped to $25.42 (P-003)
13. On 31 August, Defendant is seen again in general chat, writing "buying elytra 2.3k" (P-005)

III. CLAIMS FOR RELIEF

1. Breach of Contract under Redmont Civil Code Act (RCCA) Part VI Section 1.

Defendant offered to buy an Elytra, Plaintiff sent a direct message in response. The two parties met, demonstrating intent to exchange. Defendant stated "if i dont pay you for this elytra you can legally sue me", indicating a clear understanding of the terms. The Elytra was dropped by Plaintiff and Defendant actively picked it up. Defendant paid $230, having previously discussed "2.2", indicating Defendant was aware in paying the incorrect amount. Defendant presently has 13 hours of playtime at the time of filing (P-006).

IV. PRAYER FOR RELIEF

1. For 1 count of Breach of Contract, 1) Elytra or 2) $1970
2. Punitive damages under RCCA Part III Section 3 for outrageous conduct, having exercised dishonesty and having continued to advertise the offer to others without making amends with Plaintiff
3. Applicable legal fees

By making this submission, I agree I understand the penalties of lying in court and the fact that I am subject to perjury should I knowingly make a false statement in court.

Granted, the DHS shall SNATCH the elytra from the Defendant at his home or inventory.

@supasandwichman1 is commanded to appear in the District Court in the case of jbirdplayz5 v supasandwhichman1 [2026] DCR 156

Failure to appear within 72 hours of this summons will result in a default judgement based on the known facts of the case.

Both parties should make themselves aware of the Court Rules and Procedures, including the option of an in-game trial should both parties request one.

Summary of Controversy
On August 30th, 2026, Defendant announced in general chat that he wished to purchase an Elytra. Plaintiff offered his own Elytra for $2,300, and Defendant negotiated the price down to $2,200. The parties met at /zoo, where, because the Elytra was damaged and could not be sold through a chest shop, the exchange was conducted by hand. Before the handoff, Defendant acknowledged that Plaintiff could sue him if he failed to pay. Plaintiff dropped the Elytra, Defendant picked it up, and Defendant paid only $230. When Plaintiff requested the remainder, Defendant directed him to spawn and made no further payment. Defendant's balance subsequently fell from $2,595.42 to $25.42, and on the following day Defendant was again advertising in general chat to purchase an Elytra.


Findings of Fact
Defendant having defaulted, the Court accepts Plaintiff's uncontested factual submissions where they are supported by evidence. The Court finds that Defendant solicited the purchase of an Elytra, that Plaintiff made an offer at $2,300, and that Defendant countered at $2,200, which Plaintiff accepted. The agreed price was subsequently reaffirmed by Plaintiff as "2.2k as we promised" prior to the exchange. A valid contract was thereby formed for the sale of one Elytra at a price of $2,200.
The Court finds that Plaintiff fully performed his obligations by delivering the Elytra, and that Defendant accepted delivery by picking up the item. Defendant paid $230, leaving an outstanding balance of $1,970.
Defendant himself proposed the $2,200 figure, possessed sufficient funds to pay it in full at the time of the exchange, and did not dispute the remainder when Plaintiff requested it. Instead, Defendant directed Plaintiff to spawn, made no further payment, and depleted his balance to $25.42 within approximately thirty minutes. This conduct is inconsistent with any intention to complete performance.

Findings of the Court

Breach of Contract - GRANTED
Punitive Damages - GRANTED. Accepting delivery of goods after expressly acknowledging the obligation to pay, tendering roughly one tenth of the agreed price, evading the request for payment, draining available funds, and resuming solicitations for the same item the following day reflects deliberate dishonesty within the meaning of RCCA Part III Section 3.

Order of the Court
The Court awards the following against Defendant:
Compensatory Damages of $1,970, being the unpaid balance of the agreed purchase price.
Punitive Damages of $985 for Breach of Contract.
Total award: $2,955.
Legal fees are awarded at 20% of the total award, being $591.


Any Elytra seized by the DHS pursuant to the Emergency Injunction granted on September 5th, 2026 shall be held as security for this judgment. Upon Defendant's full satisfaction of this judgment, the Elytra shall be returned to Defendant and the injunction dissolved. Should Defendant fail to satisfy the judgment, the Elytra shall be released to Plaintiff and its value of $1,970 credited against the Compensatory Damages owed.
