Amend the Constitution and the ESA​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Succession Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by xEndeavour.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Real42Person

2 - Reasons
(1) There is no need for such an extensive order of succession.
(2) Removes incentive for the Legislative political actors to seize power.
(3) The order of succession has never progressed beyond the Vice Presidency due to the President appointing a Vice President, with the exception of the recent move by the Speaker to impeach both the VP and President at once.

3 - Constitution Amendment

25. Order of Succession
In the event that the President is incapacitated, removed from office, or inactive for more than 7 days unannounced, the title of President shall pass in the following order of succession, but lower positions on this order of succession do not rise to fill any vacancies created by this process:
Vice President
Speaker of The House of Representatives
President of the Senate
Secretary of the Department of State.
Secretary of the Department of Justice.
Secretary of the Department of Legal Affairs.
Secretary of the Department of Commerce.
Secretary of the Department of Public Affairs.
Secretary of the Department of Construction & Transport.
Secretary of the Department of Health.
Secretary of the Department of the Interior.
Secretary of the Department of Education.

25. Order of Succession
In the event that the President is incapacitated, removed from office, or inactive for more than 7 days unannounced, the Vice President will assume the Presidency.

If the Vice Presidency is vacant in this instance, the Secretary of State will assume a caretaker administration and will immediately facilitate a presidential election.

Lets unpack this

Current situation is: President gets removed Vice President becomes President The now President appoints a Vice President The order of succession has completely reset at this point

The only reason we would need a whole order of succession beyond this is if they are all removed at once or very very close together before a vp has been appointed. At that stage, we have a new administration, so we may as well just move straight to an election.

Can anyone here justify why we need to have an order of succession beyond VP?

Proposed situation is: President and VP are removed. State Sec becomes caretaker President and facilitates an election to elect a new president and VP.
