Amend and Codify State Commendations
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'State Commendations Amendment Act'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Speaker Multiman155.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. Anthony_Org, Rep. Scassany, Rep. Smami, Rep. vvirtue_, and Sen. Sofia2750.
2 - Reasons
(1) To amend the State Commendations Act;
(2) The Executive should be able to grant Executive Honors until the end of the lame duck period.
3 - Amendment
(1) The State Commendations Act is hereby amended as follows:
4 - Codification of Juniperfig's awards6 - Executive Honors
(1) Executive Honors are to be awarded in either the last two weeks before a Presidential Election., during the Presidential Election, or in the lame duck period between the end of the Presidential Election and the inauguration of the next President.
(1) The awards listed in the following executive orders are to be held as valid now and forevermore, regardless of any procedural defect that may or may not have occurred in their issuance:
(a) Executive Order 34/25
(b) Executive Order 35/25; and
(c) Executive Order 36/25.
(2) The codification of awards established in Section 4 herein shall supersede any other statutes or laws to the contrary.
