STATE OF THE COMMONWEALTH

The purpose of the State of the Commonwealth Report is to increase Cabinet transparency and provide an insight into the happenings of the Government. This information is provided in good faith and although it may be listed here as a goal, it may not occur. This report simply outlines Government achievements, plans, and goals.

DEPARTMENT AND CABINET ACTIVITY

Department of State (DOS)

Achievements in January:

- Began the 7th National Census
- Began implementing the Digital Will Registry
- Personal check-ins with department employees
- Processed all pending party registrations.
- Many passports applications processed.
- Additional improvements to the Electoral Officer's STV Counting Sheet to save time!

Goals for February:
- Presidential Elections, and Possibly More Elections
- Major Audit Revamp
- Update policies and internal information threads
- A few collaborations with the DPA regarding the Presidential Election!
- Changes to the passport application form for more clarity.

Approximate Funds Spent: Elections: $185000, Audits (including survey compensation): $207000. Total: $392000
The Department of Pings will strike again.

Department of Construction & Transport (DCT)

Achievements in January:

- Updates to Paste Policy and Paste Fee; Creation of Paste Guide,
- Rollout of Apprentice Mentorship Program,
- Updates to Public Transport,
- Finalized some construction projects,
- Started several new construction projects,
- Fulfilled backpay obligations,
- hired/trained 5 new employees,
- 188 Eviction Reports, 84 Auctions

Goals for February:
- More Construction work,
- Thorough training of new-hires,
- Continued efficient evictions and auctions,
- More cool updates to policy

Approximate Funds Spent: $651,000

Department of Health (DOH)

Achievements in January:

The Department has successfully begun training a new generation of doctors who have been enjoying the more involved training style. The department has also overhauled its pay scheme providing weekly pay to senior roles in line with the changes to the work done by our teams.
The DoH is also writing and working with staff to bring about some more interesting diseases, treatments and vaccines which are close to rollout nationwide

Goals for February:
As the next month is an electoral month, the new administration will set a lot of the direction. On-going projects around improving pharmacies, developing vaccines, and discovering new diseases will continue along with our good work keeping Redmont healthy

Approximate Funds Spent:
The DOH currently has ~70k of budget remaining. This is dominated by our outbreak contingency fund, funds for our internal bonuses and payroll for the last week of January.

Department of Commerce (DOC)

Achievements in January:

Finished SOWF, after all these months the facility has now finally fulfilled its purpose and closed its doors
Directed grant focus for news organisations who have struggled with profitability to help support these vital parts of Redmont
Initial creation of new automated tools to assist compliance officers in assesment of bank holdings and activity.
Updated company naming restrictions
Removed outdated business incorporation requirements

Goals for February:
Transitioning to the new LEA which is expected to pass in the coming weeks, it will necessitate converting half the current existent companies and a rewrite of our business incorporation policies and procedures
Government UBI assesment - figuring out how much were roughly paying in a month from UBI for government positions
Improved training material for DOC employees including videos to cover how to perform more complex topics
New business and campaign shoutout policy
Renewed efforts to ensure compliance is persisted with older filings

Approximate Funds Spent: $300,000
I hope you have enjoyed my company as much as I've enjoyed yours.
It has been a fun time with plenty of victories and challenges along the way.
But now we must bid farewells as a new cycle begins.
We have learnt so much on this journey together, but to you, I grant this certain wisdom:

Department of Education (DOE)

Achievements in January:

We're about to release a policy for gathering art submissions for the National Art Gallery, continued hiring for Guides to work on the new tutorial, Created a new Wiki landing page

Goals for February:
Updates to the more importantly used wiki articles, such as Department leadership, current seats in congress, and other executive positions. Our Archivists are also working on filling out more of our history on the wiki. Our professors are hard at work continuing with creating patents, new items, and reworking key systems in the game to bring more depth and enjoyment for everyone. Lastly, our guides will begin work in earnest starting in February to get significant work done on the new tutorial.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

Achievements in January:

Hired multiple new investigators and prosecutors.

TOWN STATUS

Town of Oakridge

Achievements in January:

Elected a new Mayor, Updated the Stadium street, Updated Entertainment Street, added chessboards to the spawn, and rebuilt the museum and added two subway stations.

Goals for February:
The Arsky Valley district will be completed by the end of the month.
