STATE OF THE COMMONWEALTH
The purpose of the State of the Commonwealth Reports is to increase Cabinet transparency and provide an insight into the happenings of the Government. This information is provided in good faith and although it may be listed here as a goal, it may not occur. This report simply outlines Government achievements, plans, and goals.

DEPARTMENT AND CABINET ACTIVITY
Department of State (DOS)
Achievements in April:
- Hired 1 new Auditor
- Head hunted for 1 new Auditor, 2 new Electoral Officers
- Completed election requirements guide
- Successfully ran Oakridge Council and House of Representatives Special Elections
- Numerous referendums hosted
- Wrote and aided in the passage of electoral reform bills
- Trained new Electoral Officer
Goals for May:
- Convert our final head hunted leads into new employees
- Consolidate last knowledge articles onto forums (using plugin, petitions)
- Have trained more employees and prepare for future admin handover

Department of Construction & Transport (DCT)
Achievements in April:
Updated Payroll system for the department
Implemented new inspection officer position + trained 2 new hires in said position
Holistic review of all employees and fired more inactive staff
Changes to how inspection reports are processed
Changes to how the budget is tracked

Department of Commerce (DOC)
Achievements in April:
- Making use of new warrant powers
- Hired more staff
- Expanded pay (again)
- Introduced democratically-managed grants
- Stricter compliance on banks
Goals for May:
- Rolling out of first democratic grants
- Hiring more employees
- Rolling financial reporting period back to the 7th (where Taxation Act lays it out)

Department of the Interior (DOI)
Achievements in April:
Our department has recruited three new Rangers, promoted two new Senior Rangers to maintain an active and hardworking leadership, and have promoted a second Deputy Secretary. SomeHumanOnEarth has set the seasonal plushies in the zoo, and has worked hard setting up multiple Ranger Work Days. The DOI has set up the Oakridge Shelter with foxes and supplies, in the process of setting up a DOI Willow Office as a place to sell farm supplies (for tenders and the NWO), contacted representatives to make changes in the law regarding the Wild and farm plots, and making minor changes to DOI operations. Additionally, we are in the process of finalizing a new DOI policy for Willow, and have finalized a new guide for Supply Officers. We also celebrated Earth Day!
Goals for May:
Our department expects to continue with ranger removals and tenders as normal. Additionally, we expect to continue Willow NWO efforts to focus on helping new players, and we intend to fully set up the food bank in Oakridge, and revamp the tender process to make it more streamlined and easier to complete. Lastly, we hope to celebrate Bee Day this month, and hopefully make it more involved with the DPA.

Achievements in April:
Implemented Audit Policy and a Grant program to be accepting applications soon!
We've also hired on a few new Archivists and Professors!
The Department has also gotten access to rotating broadcasts to better educate Redmont with new laws following the Law and Spotlight Resolution by MathTech
Goals for May:
We hope to have a series of new recipes and mechanics rolled out over the month that will change how some trades and professions interact with the game. We also plan to better document existing features once we get access to that information, and to document new features going forward as we make changes!

We’ve boosted activity and generally cut down on the overall amount of criminals running the streets.

An increase in employee activity and a decrease in ticket wait time.

Town of Aventura
Achievements in April:
We at Aventura have been trying our hardest to stick to our promises. We have introduced black market plots, restarted Aventura plot auctions, designed and pasted new buses, brought back events after 4 months of silence and begun writing a new and improved Constitution (with the help of both the amazing Katto & Angryhamdog)
Goals for May:
Bank & Food court plots (made by Epiphone), a whole new area to explore with a handful of new rplots, Updated plot limit, Aventura business grants, more events and finally a updated constitution
