BILL
To

Grant the Department of Legal Affairs the autonomy that all other departments have in regards to their deputy leadership

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “DLA Autonomy Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. LilSumoVert
(4) The Act has the support of the current Attorney General, Milkcrack.

2 - Reasons
At the moment, every department except the DLA has the autonomy to choose on their own how many deputies to have, what title the deputy/deputies have, and the hierarchy. The Solicitor General Act is leaving the DLA as the only department without that independence. This bill seeks to treat the DLA as all other departments are, at the wish of the current Attorney General.

3 - Repeal
The Solicitor General Act (Act of Congress - Solicitor General Act) shall be repealed.

The Solicitor General would have a tag and the Deputy Attorney General wouldn't - it'd just be silly. The DLA is lucky to have an in game tag for its deputy and this would be wasting that opportunity.

The solicitor general is subordinate to the attorney general and is the second-most senior lawyer on the server.

I believe AG Milkcrack wants to get rid of the SG title in favor of only the DAG title.

Regardless, the DLA should be treated like the other departments are.
