CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A RESOLUTION TO
RAISE THE BORROWING CEILING
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby resolve the following:
PART I — PRELIMINARIES
1. Short Title
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the ‘September 2026 Debt Limit Resolution’.
(2) This Resolution has been authored by Representative Ameslap and FRB Governor jJoshusaTheGreat.
(3) This Resolution has been co-sponsored by Representative Kaizered.
(4) This Resolution does not amend any Act of Congress.
2. Reasons and Intent
(1) Section 6(2) of the Borrowing Authority Act authorizes Congress to set the Borrowing Ceiling.
(2) Approximately four months have now elapsed since the initial Borrowing Ceiling was set at $100,000,000; therefore, an adjustment is due.
(3) Over the preceding two months, the Commonwealth has utilized approximately $55,000,000 in borrowing capacity, projecting to approximately $110,000,000 over the next four-month period.
(4) The Commonwealth remains in an excellent fiscal position.
(5) Accordingly, it is appropriate to increase the Borrowing Ceiling to accommodate projected financing requirements.
PART II — TERMS
3. Borrowing Ceiling
(1) In line with Section 6(2) of the Borrowing Authority Act, Congress hereby sets the Borrowing Ceiling at $210,000,000.
