CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A BILL TO
HELP THE COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT PAY ALL OUTSTANDING DEBTS, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO NOT AFFECT THE CITIZENS THE MOST WE CAN.

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
PART I - PRELIMINARIES
1. Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Save the Country Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by EmeraldGuuy Goodman
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Troniq, Novakerbal, Musclebound, Gluonmaster, Dan_ie_laa, and Deputy Speaker MJL
(5) This Act amends the following acts:
(a) The Economic Standards Act
(b) The Firearms Licensing Act
(c) The Taxation Act
2. Reasons and Intent
(1) The Redmont Government has a current outstanding debt of fifteen million (15,000,000) and must be paid as soon as possible.
(2) Current government wages to members of our government puts strain on our economy, not allowing the government to slowly pay back its debt.
(3) New restrictions will be placed on firearms and firearm regulations.
(4) All government wages to government employees will be capped at seventy ($70) dollars, and any current government worker will be affected.
PART II - AMENDMENTS
3. Amendments
(1) Section 4(3)(c) of the Economic Standards Act shall be amended as follows:
(c) Assignment of positions to salary levels may be raised or lowered outside of the responsibility descriptor when taking into account required in-game activity, relative workload compared to other public service positions, leadership and institutional responsibilities, necessary skills, demand, receipt of commission, and the level of public scrutiny.

(2) Section 4(3)(a) of the Firearms Licensing Act shall be amended as follows:
(a) Full License. These are granted to all Redmontian citizens whose license application has been accepted and have paid the $25 for the license.
(i) Upon the Gun License being accepted, the player will be prompted to pay a fee of $25. if the player cannot afford it, then they will not be able to receive a gun license until they can.
(ii) In addition to all privileges granted to those who hold Full firearms licenses, active employees of the DHS who hold Enhanced firearms licenses may, with the permission of the DHS Secretary, handle Weapons of Mass Destruction in the course of their official duties.
(3) Subsection (2) of Section 4 of the Taxation Act is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof:
