Protect the Rights of Convicted Criminals​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:


1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Democracycraft Rights of Criminals Act 2020”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Rights of a Convicted Criminal
(1) Criminals, although broke the law, are still citizens of the server. Therefore they deserve the rights explained in parts 3 and 4.

3 - Rights of Speech
(1) The criminal has the right to speak, when in prison, in chat without restriction, however, staff mutes overrule this.

4 - Rights of Criminal Record Access
(1) Citizens have the right to check their criminal records. This only applies to the citizen’s own record, and not another citizen.

1. (a) You ask a Sergeant or Secretary for your record, regular officers will not be allowed to hand out records.

This component of the law has been overridden due to constraints with region flags. Attempts to implement this change were implemented at the time of this bill passing however weren't effective.

The remainder of the bill stands in it's entirety unless otherwise provided by the relevant Government institutions.
