Direct the Department of Public Affairs to hold public events pertaining to governmental affairs
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the “Resolution for the Creation of Public Governmental Events” or as the “Governmental Events Resolution”.
(2) This Resolution shall not be legally binding, but instead a recommendation sent to the DoPA.
(3) This Resolution was authored by Representative Icypenguin79.
2 - Reasons
(1) There are not a lot of in-game government events.
(2) Creating and holding in-game events boosts the server activity, population, and player involvement in the government.
(3) In-game government events increase transparency between the government and the players.
3 - Requests
(1) Congress strongly urges the Department of Public Affairs to work with the President and Congress to hold events pertaining to governmental affairs including but not limited to: inaugurations, State of the Commonwealth addresses, and in-game debates.
