Amend the Constitution

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Public Office and Federal Office Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been proposed by Rep. ANDREASP15
(4) This Act has been authored by Sen. zLost
(5) This Act has been co-sponsored by Sen. Yeet_Boy

2 - Reasons
(1) There is no definition of Federal Office and Public Office
(2) This is needed as many laws use the terms Federal Office and Public Office

3 - Amendments
Two new sections will be added to the constitution, under Part VII - Defining Key Terms

49. Federal Office

Any government position through which a person may apply to, be appointed to, or be elected into, including but not limited to: Secretaries, Department Employees, President, Representative, Senator, Clerks. A position may be considered both public office and federal office at the same time.

50. Public Office

Any position from which a person may be elected to through the people or a representative of the people, including but not limited to: Secretaries, President, Representatives, Senator, Vice President. A position may be considered both public office and federal office at the same time.

Current Section 49 will be changed from:
49. Anthem
The Official Anthem of Redmont is "God Save End", in memory of our first President, xEndeavour. The lyrics are:

God save our President,
Long live our noble Lord,
God save our End:
Send his victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to be over us:
God save the End.

O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter his enemies,
And make them fall.
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On thee our hopes we fix:
Endeavour.
