Amend the Constitution

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives and Senators in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Presidential Pardon Reform Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Authored by President hugebob23456

2 - Reasons
(1) As it currently stands, the President can pardon any person or group of persons with no oversight whatsoever.

3 - Terms
(1) “A lawful order to overturn a criminal charge, providing clemency on a charge to an accused player. Any exercise of pardon power shall be issued only in the form of a signed document released to the public.” is changed to “A lawful order to overturn a criminal charge, providing clemency on a charge to an accused player. Any exercise of pardon power shall be issued only in the form of a signed document released to the public, and must be approved by a simple majority of the Senate before going into effect.”

Nay - The text colouring is incorrect and the Senate shouldn't get a check on pardons, which are also a check, rather pardons should be limited.
