Amend the Constitution​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Presidential Elections Amendment”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Reasons
(1) The server is literally called DemocracyCraft and the highest office is not elected. Even if we do have elections it’s quite likely the current president would win many terms. The current President is liked, but there must be a check on his power to have a functioning democracy. The people should be that check.

3 - Change
(1) “The President is both the head of state and head of government..” changes to “The President is both the head of state and head of government and is elected every 4 months in Presidential Elections alongside their running mate, the Vice Presidential candidate.”
(2) “The Vice President is second to the President and acts as their sole adviser and will be elected in Vice Presidential Elections every 2 months from the 15th of July 2020 on.” changes to “The Vice President is second to the President and acts as their sole adviser and will be elected in Presidential Elections on the same ticket as their respective President every 4 months.”

4 - Note
(1) I fully expect this bill to be vetoed, this is a symbolic gesture to show the current Congress’s support for Presidential Elections.
