CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A BILL TO
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING, MAKE AN INTUITIVE NAME FOR THIS CONGRESSIONAL SESSION
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
PART 1: PRELIMINARIES
1. Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Please, For The Love Of Everything, Make An Intuitive Name for This Congressional Session Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative HatManMC and reviewed by MJL_.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senator ElegantAlly.
(5) This Act amends the standard naming convention of the 38th Congress (Second Congressional Session).
2: Reasons and Intent
(1) As agreed by clerk EmeraldGuuy Goodman, the naming convention for the new congressional session (elected July 25th) is currently set to be the 38th Congress (Second Congressional Session).
(2) This naming convention is unreasonably long and complex, and would be unpractical and unnecessary for bill drafting, administrative documents, and records in the Department of Education.
(3) A change to a more simple and intuitive name for the 38(2CS) Congress would benefit most everyone working in, on, or with the Congress stated.
PART 2: OFFICIAL NAME CHANGE
3. Provisions
(1) The name of this congressional session (previously referred to as 38th Congress - Second Congressional Session) will be changed to the 39th Congress on documents, files, records, and laws.
(2) This will have no bearing on the legal proceedings of the 38th Congress - Second Congressional Session, and any and all rules and laws for how the 38(2CS) will be governed will be maintained.
