How do you plan on using your grant funding?
As a recent entrant to the Retail scene, Brick and Browse Ltd. needs capital to cover inital startup costs. Our business model of aiming for 100% franchised outlets, and franchising by renting out our property is the first of its kind, as far as I am aware.

The total grant amount we are looking for is $80,000. The breakdown is as follows
- $50,000 for the subsidization of the purchase of a plot to establish a Brick and Browse Store (Land is expensive )
- $10,000 for renovating the plot mentioned above into a functioning store for our franchisees.
- $16,000 to pay for 4 employees (CEO, COO, CFO, Head of Franchisee Relations) at $1,000 weekly, for a month as they settle into their positions.
- $4,000 to pay for legal retainers for Brick and Browse Ltd. (Over 2 months)

Therefore, I hope the Department of Commerce would be willing to provide Brick and Browse Ltd. with some funding so that we are able to compete on even ground with some of the more established brands. Thank you for your time.

One of our main selling features is the flexibility to sell pretty much anything. But specifically, we currently have a supplier who is looking to transition to direct sales of their products, namely agriculture and basic foodstuffs like wheat and carrots.

The Department has chosen to deny your application at this time as the agricultural industry has quite a lower overhead. We encourage you to pursure this project but it will be funded by private investment.
