Support Pancakes, Teas, and Tacos​

BE IT ENACTED by the Mayor and Council of Aventura:

1 - Short Title
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Pancake, Tea, and Taco Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Councillor Julia Tempest.

2 - Reasons
(1) Executive Order 04/26 formally establishes Pancake as the Official Food and tea as the Official Drink of Redmont.
(2) Executive Order 04/26 encourages towns to recognise and promote the pancake as the Official Food and tea as the Official Drink of Redmont.
(3) Executive Order 04/26 encourages towns to adopt local bylaws supporting Taco Tuesday.

4 - Amendments
(1) The following preamble is added before Section 1 of the Culture and Holidays Act:
"
BE IT ENACTED by the Mayor and Council of Aventura:
"

(2) Section 3 of the Culture and Holidays Act shall be amended as follows:
"
(1) "Town employee" shall include any individual holding employment within the Town of Aventura through appointment, contract or delegation.
(2) "Adjournment" shall mean the temporary end of the Council of Aventura. No business may be brought to the floor by a Councillor during this time.
(3) "Taco" shall be defined as as any food item consisting of a filling wrapped or served in a folded or rolled tortilla or similar flatbread
"

(3) Section 4 of the Culture and Holidays Act shall be amended as follows:
"
(1) The Official Animal of Aventura is the turtle.
(2) The Official Drink of Aventura is tea.
(3) The Official Food of Aventura is the pancake.
(4) The Town of Aventura hereby recognises tea as the Official Drink of Redmont.
(5) The Town of Aventura hereby recognises the pancake as the Official Food of Redmont.
(6) The flag of Aventura has an aspect ratio of 1:2, consisting of three equally sized stripes and is coloured cyan-gold-cyan. For formal occasions, the coat of arms surrounded by laurel leaves may also be put on the flag.
"

(4) The following section shall be inserted into the Culture and Holidays Act as follows:
"
7 - Taco Tuesday
(1) Every Tuesday is hereby designated as "Taco Tuesday".
(a) The Office of Community is encouraged to hold events during the duration of this day.
(b) Aventuran food vendors and restaurants are encouraged to offer taco-based items on their menu.
