Obligated Parking

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Obligated Parking Act 2020”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Parking Lot Law
(1) This law will give citizens the right to be able to park their vehicles outside a store, in the stores parking lot.
(2) The store will be required to have a parking lot to allow citizens to park there. The parking lot can be at a price or free, as long as there is some form of parking. The stores that will have to follow this are any stores in the Hospitality Industry. These include restaurants, hotels, bars etc.
(3) Stores that do not follow this law will have to pay off any citizens impound fee, if their vehicle was impounded on the store's property. If the store does have a parking lot, but the vehicle is in the parking lot and gets impounded, the citizen cannot sue for compensation.
(4) The impound fee is $60.

Vetoed - Parking should not be the burden of every store owner on the street, rather the DCT. Plots are small as it is and a parking lot would restrict the use of a significant amount of space.
