Business Description: Oakridge News Network was founded on the philosophy of bringing more journalism and attention on matters related to Oakridge. This can range from a wide array of things like events, political issues, or community thoughts or matters. Our mission and goal is to help bring more attention to Oakridge while growing its local media industry!

Reason: Currently Oakridge News Network is a small company that is preparing to acquire land when the Ridgewood expansion is released. We feel it is important to get our financials in order ahead of time to help with that goal. Unfortunately due to our small size Oakridge News Network needs to request funds from our humble town in order to help facilitate us to be more competitive to acquire a plot when Ridgewood opens up. Additionally the Active Business Grant will go to our journalist in a competition for the most published articles for the month of September. This competition will help make our articles more frequent and help fund local Oakridge citizens.
