CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT

A
BILL
TO

Fix the LSA so I can stop trying to correct people on their motion types when it's not even in the LSA.

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

PART I - PRELIMINARIES

1- Short Title and Enactment

(1) This Act may be cited as the Nomination of FRB Clarification Act
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3)This Act has been authored by EmeraldGuuy Lemonsnout.
(4)This act has been sponsored by Representative HatManMC.
(5)This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative Rorroh.
(6) This act amends the following acts:

(a) Legislative Standards Act

2- Reasons and Intent

(1) Distinguishing between “Motion of Nomination” and “Motion of Confirmation” causes confusion.
(2) Allowing all Representatives to nominate FRB members would clarify some rules in the LSA.

PART II - AMENDMENTS

(1) Section 11(14) of the Legislative Standards Act shall be amended as follows:

(14) Motion of Nomination
(a) A Motion of Nomination seeks to nominate someone to be hired as congressional staff.
(i) Only a Presiding Officer may nominate the above.
(b) A Motion of Nomination may also seek to nominate someone to be hired as a Federal Reserve Board Member.
(i) Any Representative may move the above.

(bc) A Motion of Nomination must be voted on and pass the vote in both chambers in order to pass.
