Amend the Corporate Crimes Act

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Monopolization Repair Act.”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Co-Sponsored by: Representative Azdurs and Representative 1950minecrafter.

2 - Reasons for Proposal
(1) The extent size of a monopoly seems to be very underestimated, some individual companies are already worth almost or far over a million dollar, this means that even a penalty of 100k would only make up a small fraction of the company. However, this is only an example with one company, let's look at a real monopoly, then we notice that in most cases at least two or three companies are involved in a monopoly. Let us now take an example where Cubex, Indica and Black rock would form a monopoly, the company would be worth $ 2.5 million, with the current punishment the companies would only pay 10k each, which is a very very minimal value by comparison not even 1% of the company value. With the new punishment, the companies would pay an amount that would seriously damage them and in our example would make up 10% of the company, this punishment would ensure that companies take the punishment for monopolization seriously and thus would really prevent them from establishing a monopoly.

NOTE: The example from above is just with some very successful companies, however, there are still bigger companies, which could form a monopoly being worth over 6 million.

NOTE: The fine change does not mean that the punishment will always be 250k, this change gives the judge the option to punish up to 250k if justified. This means that it is besteaft between $0 and $250000 depending on the degree of hardness of the monopolization.

3 - Amending the punishment for monopolization.
