A
BILL
TO

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
  1. This Act may be cited as the “LDV Thoughts and Prayers Act”
  2. This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

  4. This Bill was co-sponsored by Rep. Eastray_ & Sen. Nicki

2 - Reasons

See, I was young angel but these rappers turned me evil
Yeah, I know I know you, but you really ain't my people
Yeah, I heard some people say they know 'em as my equal
Truth be told, I son these rappers, girl, I don't compete with 'em
Ask about The Boy and they gon' say they got the streets with him
Rappers so offensive knowin' they don't have no defense
Why they always act like we can fix it with a meeting?
All that linking up, man, I'ma see ya when I see ya
Yeah
Yeah
YEAH, brothers been my brothers, man
You homies ain't no kin and that's a fact (Ayy)
And I'm like Sha'Carri, smoke 'em on and off the track (Aye)
And you talk that money, but me, I’m out here calling cap (Woah)
You get Digi on a track, he'll put you on the map
Oh, it's like that? Hell yeah it's like that (Ayy)
And I got a contract, it's a max (Ayy)
SInce I got in contact, she attached
When I signed my first deal, that shit came through a fax
That should let you know how long I been out here runnin' laps

3 - Reasons

1. Bill boosts crime rp. IRL criminals around the world use guns with or without a license, so a permanent ban with the inability to use a gun (due to plugins) is unrealistic.
2. There is no real law that revokes gun licenses in the status quo. In the ticket I opened with the DoJ to ask for the law that revoked licenses after 2 murders, End wrote ““this was implemented prior to launch and the DOJ has established a way for players to get their license back through an appeals process. If the DOJ is for whatever reason inhibited from undertaking this duty we'll have to turn the firearms plugin off.”
3. This bill codifies “convention” while making DC gun culture more realistic

4 - Murder Law Reform

1. Repeals Murder Act
2).A new crime, “Murder”, shall be defined as “Murder is the act of unlawfully killing another player.”:

Per Offence: $100 + 10 minutes.
Note: If a firearm was used for more than one (1) murder, the offender may have their firearm license temporarily revoked in accordance with Section 5 of the LDV Thoughts and Prayers Act.
Note: this law overrides attempted murder, assault, and trespassing

5 - Gun License Reform

1. An individual’s firearm license may be revoked without the ability to appeal for a maximum of 10 days.
2. Firearm license revocations may not be permanent.
3. A player must file an appeal to reactivate their firearm license.

First time revocation:
  • Individual must wait three (3) days to appeal firearm license revocation
  • $100 fee to have license returned.
  • Appeal must be granted.
Second time revocation:
  • Individual must wait five (5) days to appeal firearm license revocation
  • $300 fee to have license returned.
  • Appeal must be granted.
Third time revocation:
  • Individual must wait seven (7) days to appeal firearm license revocation.
  • $500 fee to have license returned.
  • Appeal must be granted.
Fourth time revocation (and beyond):
  • Individual must wait ten (10) days to appeal firearm license revocation.
  • $1,000 fee to have license returned.
  • Appeal may be denied for a maximum of three (3) times.
  • If an appeal is denied, the individual must wait ten (10) days to file another one

Nay - there shouldn't be a written guarantee that they automatically get their gun license back. Change policy around when they are accepted.
