A BILL TO

ESTABLISH A MEOW CHANNEL

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:


PART I — PRELIMINARIES

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Inter-Branch Communication Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative EmeraldGuuy LemonRollz.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senator Stanley582.

2 - Reasons
(1) People want meow.
(2) I want meow.
(3) Give me meow .

PART II — NEW CHANNELS

1 - Congress-Cabinet Channel
(1) The channel named "#meow" shall be maintained on the DemocracyCraft and Congress Discord servers.

(2) All players shall have access to and may type in the #meow channel.

Nay - for a myriad of reasons.

1) The reasons and intent, bill title, headings, and implementation all conflict with each other. Are we doing actual inter-departmental communication or is it just a facade for a meow channel? This bill just intends to confuse that.
2) If it is actually for inter-departmental comms, it’s absolutely pointless. We have one of those already - #congress-cabinet. No point for another.
3) If it is just a facade for a meow channel, we already have one in DC! It’s the meow thread. That makes this use for it pointless too.

I get the want for a meow channel, but this is NOT the way to go about it and we’ve basically already won the war with the meow thread.
