The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Heritage Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Senator xEndeavour
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Senator xEndeavour
2 - Reasons
(1) To place legal protections on the maintenance of our heritage.
3 - Heritage List
(1) The DCT is to maintain a heritage list to protect buildings and infrastructure of significance.
(2) Regulations for applications and the maintenance and development of the building are to be published by the DCT. These regulations must be pragmatic, but in the spirit of protecting the structure and it's heritage.
4 - Removal
(1) Once a building is heritage listed, it cannot be removed from the list.
(2) In significantly compelling circumstances the structure may be moved to another area of reasonably similar characteristics as the original location.
