CONGRESS OF THE
COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
A BILL TO
Amend the Executive Standards Act in Order to End Holidays
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1. Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the ‘Grinch Act’
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative NovaKerbal.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Representative Gluonmaster.
(5) This Act This Act amends the following acts:
2. Reasons and Intent(1) Recent Owner Vetoes have made it abundantly clear that any real-world social, political, or religious matter cannot be the subject of in-game policy or legislation.
(2) Following the precedent set by Staff, Congress needs to ensure that such real-world factors are never considered in any capacity when decisions are made within government departments.
PART II — Amendment
The Executive Standards Act is amended as follows:
17 - Department Regulations
(1) Executive Officers, Secretaries, and any employee of an Executive Department are not to recognize any of the following as valid reasons for an Employee Leave of Absence, or other justifications for inactivity.
(a) Real-World Social/Cultural Matters, including Real-World culturally significant dates.
(b) Real-World Religious Matters, including Real-World religious holidays or observances.
(c) Real-World Political Matters, including Real-World national holidays, or work related to Real-World elections.
(2) Executive Officers, Secretaries, and any employee of an Executive Department are not to recognize any of the following as valid reasons for a cessation of lawfully mandated government activity, or the failure to adhere to lawfully mandated deadlines.
(a) Real-World Social/Cultural Matters, including Real-World culturally significant dates.
(b) Real-World Religious Matters, including Real-World religious holidays or observances.
(c) Real-World Political Matters, including Real-World national holidays, or work related to Real-World elections.
