Executive Order 17/26 - Central Business District Rent Adjustment​

By the authority vested in me by the Redmont Constitution
I, Technofied, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, do declare the following under this Executive Order:​

Whereas, rent for Central Business District plots has remained at $400 per fortnight for several years and no longer reflects current economic conditions.
Whereas, these plots are largely concentrated around spawn and represent some of the most valuable and sought-after commercial land in the Commonwealth.
Whereas, a modest adjustment is warranted to better align rent with the value of this land while preserving accessibility for new players.
Whereas, this adjustment is intended to apply only to Government Central Business District rentals and not to New Business District rentals.​

Section 1. Scope
1. This Order applies only to Government Central Business District leasehold regions, identified by the prefix cbd (cbdXXX).
2. This Order does not apply to North Business District leasehold regions, identified by the prefix nbd (nbdXXX), which remain unaffected.
3. Central Business District plots designated for new players are exempt and shall remain at their current rate.

Section 2. Rent Adjustment
1. Effective upon each plot's next rent renewal, the rent for all applicable Central Business District plots shall increase from $400 to $600.
2. The updated rate shall take effect automatically at the time of the next rent renewal for each applicable plot.

Section 3. Enactment
1. This Executive Order shall apply immediately upon its signage.
2. This Executive Order has been issued with the advice of the Secretary of Construction & Transportation.
