I, hugebob23456, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont,
hereby order the following Executive Order
(1) It is clear that the previous Executive Order 5/21 - Property Tax is unpopular and may risks disproportionately harming small business. After some deliberation with Congress, the following rates have been decided. Unfortunately the bill that seeks to establish these rates also cuts balance taxes by more than 90% and I have every intention of vetoing this bill, but the original intent of the property tax portion is inherently good.
(2) Executive Order 5/21 - Property Tax is rescinded from law.
(3) The owner of all commercial plots shall pay a daily property tax rate in accordance with the following keys:
Green regions: $3.33/day
Orange regions: $6.66/day
Red regions: $10/day
(4) In the event that a plot falls within the bounds of multiple keys, the higher rate shall apply. Rental regions on Federal Land will not be subject to a property tax. The DCT reserves the right to evict plots on the basis that their owner fails to make property tax payments.
(5) Industrial and Residential plots may be subject to a property tax set by Federal law codified outside this Executive Order.
(6) This Executive Order shall take effect upon finalization and implementation of the Property Tax plugin.
