Establish Player Involvement in the Elections Process​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Electoral Commission Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Reasons
(1) End doesn’t want to do the math.

3 - Jobs
(1) A new job under the supervision of the Department of State shall be create, ‘Electoral Commissioner’.
(2) To become Electoral Commissioner, a person must be nominated by the DOS Secretary or the President, approved by the Owners, and confirmed by the Senate. This shall be a Principal Officer position.
(3) There will be a job title established under the Department of State entitled ‘Electoral Officer’.
(4) The Electoral Commissioner will establish and oversee the patronage of Electoral Officers.
(5) Electoral Officers are accountable to the Electoral Commissioner.
(6) The President may submit a request to remove the incumbent Electoral Commissioner to the Senate which may then approve or deny the request by simple majority.

4 - Duties of the Electoral Commission
(1) Facilitating the electoral process where it is constitutionally mandated.
(2) Facilitating the electoral process for special elections where requested by a Presiding Officer or the President.
(3) Advising the Department of State, the wider government, and the general public on the electoral process as a subject matter expert.

5 - Facilitation of the Electoral Process
(1) The electoral officers are responsible for:
1. Posting the Election Post.
2. Advertising the Election.
3. Opening the Polls.
4. Ensuring that polls are closed on-time.
5. Informing the State Secretary of the election result, who will then confirm the votes with the Senior Administration Team.

6 - Electoral and Employee Protection
(1) The executive cannot impose its will or interfere with lawful requirements of the Electoral Commission to facilitate an election.
(2) The executive cannot impose its will or interfere with lawful requests of the Electoral Commission to facilitate an election.
(3) Any person interfering with an election is guilty of electoral fraud.
