Repeal and Replace the Constitution of DemocracyCraft​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “DemocracyCraft Constitution Amendment Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its passage in a referendum of the people.

2 - Repeal
The Constitution of Democracy Craft is hereby repealed in its entirety.

3 - Replacement
The Constitution of Democracy Craft is hereby replaced with the following;

The Constitution of Democracy Craft​

By the will of the people of Democracy Craft and by the necessity of an organized governing body for the preservation of the liberties, rights and values of the People of Democracy Craft, the Constitutional Republic of Democracy Craft is hereby formed by the force and virtue of this Constitution.

Article I - The Congress of Democracy Craft
1) All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of DemocracyCraft, which shall consist of seven members of Congress.
a) A Representative must have been a citizen of DemocracyCraft for 24 hours.
2) The seven Representatives shall be elected by a system in which all voters are given seven votes and the seven candidates with the most votes shall be elected to Congress.
3) The Congress shall serve for a term of two months.
4) The Congress shall be chaired by a Speaker of Congress, and shall adopt its own rules that outline the conduct of the Congress.
5) Members of Congress shall be compensated for their services, to be determined by law.
6) Every piece of legislation approved by the Congress shall be presented to the President of DemocracyCraft for their approval, or veto.
a) The President’s veto may be overridden by two thirds of the Congress, according to the Rules and Limitations prescribed in the Case of a Bill.

Article II - The President of Democracy Craft
1) All executive Powers herein granted shall be vested in a President of DemocracyCraft, and together with a Vice President of DemocracyCraft.
2) The President and Vice President shall be elected on a singular ticket, and must receive a majority of votes in the popular vote.
a) If no candidate receives a majority of votes then there shall be a second round of voting between the two candidates who received the most votes in the first round of voting.
b) To vote in the Presidential election a voter must have been a member for two weeks.
3) The President and Vice President shall serve for a term of four months and shall be held in concurrence with the elections of the Congress of DemocracyCraft.
4) In the case that the President vacates their office then the Vice President shall assume the position of President of DemocracyCraft and shall serve for the remainder of the four month term.
5) The President of DemocracyCraft may appoint Secretaries to head Departments established by the Congress of DemocracyCraft.
a) Secretaries may issue directives that pertain to the powers given to them by the Congress of DemocracyCraft.
6) The President and any of his officials may be removed from office by a Vote of No Confidence in the Congress of DemocracyCraft.

Article III - The Court of Democracy Craft
1) All Judicial Power herein granted shall be vested in the Court of DemocracyCraft.
2) The Court shall be filled by three justices who shall be appointed by the President and approved by the Congress of DemocracyCraft.
3) The Court shall hear any case regarding laws passed by the Congress.

Article IV - Amendment
1) The Congress of DemocracyCraft may amend this constitution with the approval of two-thirds of members of Congress.
2) Upon its passage an amendment shall be sent to a vote of the people where it must attain a majority of two-thirds of those voting.
3) Upon attainment of acceptance of both the Congress and People of DemocracyCraft, the amendment shall be enacted and adopted into this Constitution.

Article V - Rights and Freedoms
The DemocracyCraft Article of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it, subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law that are justified in a free and democratic server.
1) The right to participate in, and run for elected office in the DemocracyCraft Government.
2) The right to vote in Congressional Elections,
3) The right to vote a Government official out of his or her office,
4) No citizen is to be made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law.
5) All accused are entitled to appeal a charge made against them by the state.
6) Freedom of Political Communication.

Vetoed - The dynamic of the server does not allow for an elected President. I also support the strong negative community sentiment toward this change.
