The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Common Reforms and Practices Act” or as the “CRAP Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Bill was authored by Representative Icypenguin79, with advice from BubbaRC.
2 - Reasons
(1) Minimum amenity requirements should be modified to allow two single chests.
(2) Farm animals are currently allowed inside dwellings.
(3) The DER needs more shelter animals and euthanizing overcrowded animals is cruel.
(4) Fraud is a law, not a rule, so it is not a bannable offence. Ban time is changed to jail time.
(5) Pet murder is not related to all licenses, just firearms.
(6) Creating second and third offences of murder to prevent murder.
(7) There is currently no jail time for trespassing.
(8) Reckless and careless driving should be one law.
(9) To give property owners rights about vehicles on their property.
3 - Terms
(1) Property and Build Regulations
(a) The minimum amenities law will be amended to state “The following amenities must be provided free of charge for a residential space to be rentable: 1x bed, 1x double chest or equivalent, 1x crafting table, 1x furnace”
(b) The consequences for breach of the minimum amenities law will be a $100 fine for the first offence, a $200 fine for the second offence, and a $300 fine with 5 minutes of jail time for the third offence.
(c) The prohibited items list is amended to add “farm animals (sheep, chickens, and cows)”.
(2) Wilderness and Wildlife
(a) The second offence of the overcrowding law is amended to state “$500 fine + 10 minutes jail + excess domestic animals set for adoption (the original owner cannot readopt these animals), any others are euthanised”
(b) The third offence of the overcrowding law is amended to state “$500 fine + 20 minutes jail + all domestic animals set for adoption (the original owner cannot readopt these animals), any others are euthanised.”
(3) Commerce
(a) The third offence for fraud will be amended to replace “3 Day Ban” with “60 minutes jail”.
(4) PvP and Trespassing
(a) The third offence for pet murder will be amended to replace “revocation of all licenses” with “revocation of firearms license”.
(b) The murder law will override attempted murder, assault, and trespassing.
(c) The second offence of murder will be a $200 fine and 15 minutes of jail.
(d) The third offence and on of murder will be a $300 fine, 15 minutes of jail, and a revocation of their firearms license.
(e) The first offence for trespassing will include 5 minutes of jail time.
(f) The second offence for trespassing will include 10 minutes of jail time.
(5) Transportation and Road
(a) Careless driving is repealed and merged into reckless driving by adding “or driving on the sidewalk” to the end of reckless driving.
(b) The first offence for reckless driving is a $20 fine; the second $40; and the third $60.
(c) Improper parking is amended to read “Parking a vehicle on a public or government land, not in at designated parking bay, property owners have full discretion of this on their property; however, the vehicle owner can contest this in court”
(d) The abandoned vehicles law is amended by appending “on public and unowned property” to the end.
(6) Miscellaneous
(a) The fine per offence for frivolous court cases is changed to be a $50-$500 fine at the courts discretion.
(b) The fine per offence for failure to appear is changed to be a $50-$10000 fine at the Congress’s discretion.
(c) The punishment for giving or asking for exam answers is amended to be a $20 fine and results of that exam being disregarded.
