BILL
TO
Declare a Federal Holiday and direct the Department of Public Affairs to coordinate festivities.
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the “Constitution Day Resolution”.
(2) This Resolution declares a holiday; however, section 3 subsection 2 is not legally binding.
(3) This Resolution was authored by Representative Icypenguin79.
2 - Reasons
(1) There are currently no public holidays.
(2) The day of the ratification of the Constitution is extremely important to the history of Redmont.
3 - Requests
(1) Congress declares the 10th of April every year to be Constitution Day, to recognise the date the Constitution was posted and ratified.
(2) Congress urges the Department of Public Affairs and the Office of the President to coordinate Constitution Day festivities.
