Amend the Economic Standards Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:​

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the "Congressional Wages Act"
(2) This act is authored by: Representative 1950minecrafter
(3) This act is cosponsored by: Representative Snowy_Heart

2 - Reasons

The Congress members currently have the highest wage of all the government jobs at the moment. Some of that money could be invested in a cheaper education and healthcare systems instead of the balance of the Congress members. That’s why this bill is meant to lower the following wages.​

(b) "Level 1: $45/15min" to "Level 1: $40/15min"
(c) Level 2: $35/15min - Members of peak bodies within the Government branches; A great amount of responsibility, management, and governance. Additionally, a lot of work off the server.
(c.1) With the exception of Representatives and Senators, that shall receive a wage of $30/15min

Aye - One of the few things I agree with 1950 on. Congress doesn't need an absurdly high pay rate. We should be questioning the intentions of any Senators who oppose this.
