To

Include FRB Governors to the Conflict of Interest Standards Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Conflict of Interest Standards Amendment Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by PoS Pepecuu.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. .CaldironJa1.

2 - Reasons
(1) The FRB is also a Government Entity of significant interest to the Economic and National Security of Redmont. Therefore, these Governors that are hired to the board of the FRB should also face the same level of professional scrutiny as other Government Jobs and Positions.
(2) “Even the two governors don't have much explicit power over the (FRB) board, it ensures FRB members who can blow the whistle on shady deals if needed, without significantly cutting the pool of candidates the FRB can be nominated from - Instead of 4 COI-free candidates, only 2 must be found.” - Senator xSyncx


3 - Amendments
§3 of the Conflict of Interest Standards Act shall be amended as follows:


3 - Scope
(1) This Act applies to these positions within the Executive Branch:
(a) Department Secretary
(b) Acting Secretary
(c) Ambassador

(2) This Act applies to all positions within the Judicial Branch, including but not limited to:
(a) Chief Justice, Justice, Judge, and Magistrate
(b) Court Clerk


(3) This Act applies to the following positions in the FRB:
(a) FRB Governor
(b) FRB Lieutenant Governor
