What position are you applying for? Economist
Why do you think you are suited to the position you are applying for? I think I understand the role of the economist quite well, since a young age I have pursued economics both as a hobby and academically. I will be able to bring in a wealth of knowledge that may be transferable to DC, I understand the role well and how to perform in it. An economist jobs goes beyond the collection of data and analysis, it is the analysis of human scarcity and how to best deal with it with our limited resources.
