How do you plan on using your grant funding?
Sagarana is a self-publishing bookstore and literary firm dedicated to cultivating a vibrant literary culture in Redmont. We aim to incentivize writers by offering 60% royalties per copy sold, with book prices set at $500 each. Our publishing model maintains a rotating stock of 5 to 10 copies per title, ensuring consistent availability for readers.
To maintain this stock and ensure timely distribution, we anticipate salary expenses between $1,500 and $3,000 per restocking cycle. Writers will only need to provide the Original Copy; we handle all production using materials supplied by the company (leather, paper, feathers, ink sacs).
This grant would help us provide fair compensation, support infrastructure, and promote accessible literature without burdening authors.

Ideal Grant Amount $35,000

If awarded, I intend to use the grant money allocated to me for its intended purpose on which it was approved for, and provide a breakdown in my application thread of how the funding was used.

Hi incee.
At our Oakridge space we have at the moment just 3 original titles with space for 5. However, if granted we'll be able to pay writers and fill at least 26 lecterns with different titles each at our Reveille space.
In one week, I've sold 8 copies out of the 3 originals, so it's expected to sell all the stock in one month or so.
