Bill: Draft Business of the Week Resolution

RESOLUTION
To

Create a business of the week event to help the promotion of small and growing businesses​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress, do hereby formally enact this non-binding resolution, as a request to our Government:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the “Business of the Week Resolution”.
(2) This Resolution was authored by Rep. Twiscet.
(3) This Resolution has been co-sponsored by Rep. Omegabiebel.

2 - Reasons
(1) This resolution would give small companies more chances to grow.
(2) This resolution would also help to get small and growing businesses names out to the public.

3 - Execution
(1) Every week the Department of Commerce shall hold an event known as the Business of the Week.
(2) The Business of the Week event shall be held every week to promote small, growing businesses and their services to the people of Redmont.
(3) Businesses can apply to the Department of Commerce to become the business of the week and they will be chosen by someone decided by the Secretary of Commerce based on factors such as but not limited to:
(a) How great their growth has been over the most recent weeks.
(b) How new the business is.
(c) How unique the product, service or goal the business provides is.
(4) The individual assigned by the Secretary of Commerce to oversee the choosing of the Business of the Week may be referred to as the Business of the Week Administrator.
(5) The Business of the Week Administrator may hire a team to help decide the Business of the Week.
(6) The chosen Business of the Week shall be posted in the briefing channel by a relevant employee of the Department of Commerce, decided by the Secretary.
