To

Ammend the Constitution.


The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Budget Priority Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: bibsfi4a
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Senator zlost and Representative Justa_Dumpling.

2 - Reasons

-To prioritize the budget and make it pass as soon as possible as its a vital part in the functioning of departments.
-To clear up confusion
-To prevent what happened at the end of the 18th Congressional term.

3 -Amendment.

The following statement which is in the constitution.-

Congress enters ‘caretaker mode’ on the first day of the electoral month. During this time any bill must receive a supermajority in any chamber which is undergoing elections with the exception of bills put up to a vote prior to the first day of ‘caretaker mode.’ To clarify, the Senate is not subject to the supermajority requirement when the House is undergoing elections but the Senate is not. Additionally, bills put up to a vote in the House prior to the first day of ‘caretaker mode’ are also exempt from the supermajority requirement in the Senate.

Shall be changed with-

Additionally, the Official Budget and bills put up to a vote in the House prior to the first day of ‘caretaker mode’ are also exempt from the supermajority requirement in the Senate.
