BILL
TO
Bestow Obligatory Woes on Serious Evading Residents

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
This Act may be cited as the “Bestow Obligatory Woes on Serious Evading Residents
Act” or as the “BOWSER Act”.
1. This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
2. This Bill was written by Representative LilDigiVert with majority input from BubbaRC,

2 - Reasons

The world is up for seizin', there's somethin' for a reason
They just talk, don’t read it, I lead on some, nah, don’t lead it
More or so, what you leave with? I got somethin' for you to leave with
What they tell 'em, don't believe it
Tell me what you believe in, tell me what you believe in
GRAND THEFT AUTO, GRAND THEFT AUTO, WE IN A GAME, WE IN A GAME
GRAND THEFT AUTO, GRAND THEFT AUTO, WE ALL THE SAME, WE ALL THE SAME
MONEY AIN'T REAL, TIME AIN'T REAL, MONEY AIN'T REAL, TIME AIN'T REAL
MONEY AIN'T REAL, TIME AIN'T REAL, GUESS TO WHAT, YOU NEVER GET KILLED

3 – Terms

Replace “Tax Evasion
Using unlawful means of business in order to avoid paying taxes where you would have otherwise been required to pay tax.
Per Offence: $100 Fine”

With “Tax Evasion
Using unlawful means of business to avoid paying taxes where you would have otherwise been required to pay tax.
Per Offence: $100 fine + Taxes Evaded fined”

- Nay because it could be very difficult to figure out the exact amount of taxes that were frauded by a company, especially if it takes place over many weeks or months

This bill is hereby vetoed.
Reasoning:
  • For the Reason Mhad has specified, it would be extremely hard for the DEC to calculate how much taxes were evaded, what I suggest instead is you create varying fines for an estimate of the amount of taxes evaded.
