STATE OF WILLOW

The purpose of the State of Willow Reports is to increase town transparency and provide unique insight into the happenings of the town council. This was created upon the passage a by-law and modeled after the federal government's SOTG Reports, however adjusted for our unique local level of transparency.

CONSTRUCTION

The town of Willow constructed a new formed area for government buildings within the northwest of Willow. Changes included a renovated clinic, town store, and police station. Additions included a vehicle dealership, bank, museum, and animal shelter stables. Twixted and the Mayor, Westray, have been among the builders of this project.

MAYORAL ADDRESS

The month of October was a productive one in terms of expanded the government services that we provide in the town of Willow. Our reforms to the northwest of Willow have allowed for players to sell more crops than ever before to the town, as well as use new services in the animal shelter, vehicle dealership, and our very own bank!

The Bank of Willow has been among one of the largest achievements this past month, given we have been the first town to ever utilize and provide financial services to its residents. Our loans and savings accounts have been intended to improve the financial stability and literacy of Willow residents.

In addition to this, earlier in the month we also had special elections for two Advisor positions as a result of some unfortunate resignations. Since the election of xerxesmc and KaelynCream, there has been a renewal of activity within the overall Council, which I have been pleased to see.

As the month was outgoing, Willow also became the second town to reach a Tier 5 upgrade. This will allow us to buy an unlimited amount of land for future expansions. We could not have done this without all of the residents actively contributing to this town.

Thank you to everyone involved in supporting the town of Willow and to its wonderful council, I look forward to see what November brings.

ADVISORIAL REMARKS

Residential Advisor KaelynCream:
As of now, the old event centre area has been remodeled to be an area full of government buildings such as some upgrades to the sheriff’s office and Willow hospital. We also have an official Willow animal shelter, a bank, and a vehicle dealership! In accordance with the mayor and the rest of the council, we have decided to start working on a new residential space where there will be more k-homes and one or two apartment buildings

Commerce Advisor Icypenguin79:
This month, I worked with our town council to create Willow’s local bank - a first for any town. I hope that our citizens will have a great experience banking with the Town of Willow, and that the Town will prosper with this new addition.

Public Relations Advisor Twixted:
Earlier this month, Willow upgraded to town tier 5. To celebrate, the town government plans to host smaller events throughout the month in the newest areas of town (in conjunction with the DPA for some), such as the upcoming archery competition and pig race events. We also plan to expand upon the gaming industry that was introduced with the construction of the Willow casino, with plans for more frequent Casino Night and general gaming events. As part of our upcoming initiative to improve accessibility within the town and build upon its culture, we also plan to start adding more directional/street signage and more general art/history exhibits throughout.

Transportation Advisor Drew8716:
For the future I hope to execute my plan for adding a Medieval-Style bus system throughout Willow once we have expanded enough to the point of needed it. I've been a bit busy irl so I haven't had too much time to execute my plans, this past month I just fixed one or two small things around town but not much else.

Industrial Advisor Xerxesmc:
Willow is doing pretty good as far as the farming industry goes. Plenty of new players are able to rent farms and in turn able to produce their crops to sell. I'd like to see more locations for them to be able to sell to for a bigger profit turn over, but generally nothing majorly negative atm.
